We had another busy week. The children are becoming familiar with our daily routine, and everyone is working nicely together.
Please empty your child’s home folder each night and review the papers that are sent home. Please practice writing letters A-C, both upper and lower case. Your child is practicing tracing/writing their name correctly each morning. As soon as they have mastered this skill they will receive a journal and will no longer have to trace their name.
We are very busy during the day. As a result, there has not been a lot of homework sent home. Please have your child practice coloring properly, and cutting on lines. Also, please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.
Religion
We learned why God made water and that it is a necessary for us to use and to keep clean.
Reading
This week we read Corduroy, The Carrot Seed, If you give a Mouse a Cookie, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar for the letter Cc.
Math
We have been working on sorting objects by their color and shape along with practicing writing and recognizing numbers 1-3.
HOMEWORK pgs 15 & 16, tear this page out and return on 9/29.
