The school families gathered for their last Rosary as a family until May.
We enjoyed the 2nd grade All Saints Day Pageant and have something to look forward to when our class is in second grade.
Please stop by the classroom on Sunday during the Fall Festival from 10-1 to say “hi” and to see some of your child’s creations.
Please remember to return your child’s permission slip for the SD Natural History Museum class visits.
HOMEWORK: Math worksheets – Ordinal numbers – some students are having difficulty with this math concept.
Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.
SUPERSTAR: Lilly – bring your photo album and sharing each day.
Religion
We learned about 5 different Saints this week. St. Francis, St. Therese, St Patrick, St. Kateri and St. Nicholas. We also discussed All Saints Day and this Sunday’s Gospel.
Reading
This week we read and sequenced nursery rhymes. Humpty Dumpty and Old Mother Hubbard for the letter Hh and Jack be Nimble for the letter Jj.
Math
We continue with Chapter 4. We are working on counting and writing numbers 1-10 along with ordinal numbers and grouping numbers. MATH HOMEWORK: Worksheets – Ordinal numbers.
Cooking
We were not able to cook this week.
Science/Social Studies
We will begin a new unit on Monday about Native American Indians, Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving.
