Progress reports went home today. Please look for a white envelope in your child’s home folder. Please sign and return both papers on Monday.
A permission slip for the Bates Nut Farm also went home. Please return it with cash or check attached.
Our Super Star Student of the week beings on Monday with Angelaiya, the calendar of your child’s week was already sent home. We will also begin sharing on Monday. Each child has a certain day of the week that they will share. Check your child’s folder for their day.
HOMEWORK: Please have your child practice forming letters Aa-Dd correctly and numbers 1-10. All uppercase letters begin at the top line. Please make sure your child is forming the letters correctly. Several students are in the habit of beginning at the bottom.
Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.
Religion
We learned how God created the earth and how we should take care of it. We also discussed this Sunday’s Gospel, in our Promise magazine.
Reading
This week we read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, The Carrot Seed and Corduroy for the sound of Cc. Along with Dinorella and Duck at the Door for the letter Dd.
Math
We have completed Chapter 1 on sorting objects by their color, shape and size. We took our Chapter 1 unit test. We will skip to Chapter 4 on writing numbers and number units. NO MATH HOMEWORK THIS WEEK.
Cooking
We made Doughnuts, for the letter Dd.
Science
We finished our unit on the 5 senses. The month of October we will study Dinosaurs.
