A BIG thank you to everyone who volunteered at and brought in donated items for our Bake Sale.

Please return your child’s Third Quarter report card on Monday, if you have not done so already.

Please return the field trip permission slip for the San Pasqual High School Farm Days.  More Drivers/Chaperones are needed. We will attend their program and then picnic at Kit Carson Park.

HOMEWORK:  Please practice the reading and sight word list your child has been given. Please let Mrs. Prieto know when your child is ready to test.  All students should have already passed list 1.

Math: Workbook pages 101-102.

Please have your child read to you or read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

Religion We are still learning about Ordinary time in the church year. We discussed this Sunday’s Gospel.

Reading This week we read Counting Apples, All About Apples, and the poem Little Brown Seed.

Math  We completed Chapter 3 with our final assessment. We began Chapter 9 about money, so please practice identifying and counting money.

Cooking This week we had applesauce!

Science/Social Studies
We continue our unit on plant life, learning about the parts of a plant and what plants need to grow – soil, water, air and sunlight.
