Kinder Newsletter for March 27, 2015

Monday is Camp Cowabunga from 1-3 on our school campus. Please have your child wear jeans and their Camp Cowabunga t-shirt that was sent home. Please iron it to set the color before washing.

Please join us in the church on Thursday at 10:00 am for the Living Stations of the Cross, put on by our St. Mary’s Students.

HOMEWORK: Please practice the reading/sight word list your child has been given. Please review previous lists on a continuous basis so your student can read the words and not just memorize them to pass the test.

Math: Workbook pages 33-36

Please have your child read to you or read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Xander – bring your photo album and sharing each day!

Religion We began working on our Lent journal. We joined our school families for Stations of the Cross in the Church. And we discussed Sundays’ Gospel.

Reading This week we read A House is a House for Me and Dr. DeSoto, about a little mouse dentist.

Math We completed Chapter 5 and took the assessments. We began Chapter 3, and we continue with Garfield Math.

Cooking We made apple smiles using red apples, almond butter, marshmallows for teeth and a chocolate chip for the rotten tooth, the kids loved them!

Science/Social Studies  We discussed where animals live and the different eco zones (jungle, dessert, forest etc.)

Enjoy your weekend!

God Bless,

Mrs. Taylor
