Please have your child bring in 1 empty paper egg carton that can hold 12 eggs, along with 12 solid colored plastic eggs.
We are completing our unit on community helpers and will begin learning about mammals on Monday. We will have a cumulative activity at the end of the month, like our Space Day.
HOMEWORK: Please practice the reading/sight word lists if your child has been given a list (not all students have a list yet).

Please have your child practice recognizing and writing numbers 1-100.
Please have your child read to you or read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes. We will soon begin our lending library.

Religion We are learning about the Lenten season. We joined our school families for Stations of the Cross in the Church. And we discussed Sundays’ Gospel.
Reading This week we read about American Symbols. We also read When I Grow Up by P.K. Hallinan whose son I grew up with.
Math We began Chapter 5, writing and counting numbers 11-30. We continue with Garfield Math, students are doing really well and are enjoying the program. Remember that your child can do Firstinmath.com at home. Email me if you need another copy of your child’s login information.
Cooking We made Fire House Dog Bone Cookies.
Science/Social Studies We discussed American Symbols, along with community helpers, such as firemen, policemen and doctors.
