Kinder Newsletter – Nov. 14, 2014

Thank you to all the families that came to the Parent Teacher Conferences. I enjoyed talking with each of you and our class is doing great!

Our pizza and silly string party will be held on November 18th at lunch-time, with second grade, who also was a top selling class.  You are welcome to join us at 12:15.

We will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 20, at 10:45 a.m. If you would like to help out please contact Emily Johnson (Lyla’s mom). We invited the 8th grade class for a Charlie Brown Feast.

Reminder: There is no school next Friday.

HOMEWORK: 1st-10th place value worksheets and story sequencing worksheets.

Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Eva – bring your photo album and sharing each day.

Religion: We learned how God is always with us and that we can talk with him anywhere. We also discussed this Sunday’s Gospel.

Reading: This week we read Humpty Dumpty and Old King Cole for story sequencing. We also read The Kissing Hand for the letter Kk, along with Lyle, Lyle Crocodile andThe Lost Lamb for the letter Ll.

Math: We are working 1st-10th place values and story sequencing. MATH HOMEWORK: No workbook pages, just worksheets.

Cooking: We made Ladybug cookies for the letter Ll.

Science/Social Studies: Our theme this month is Native American Indians, Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving.
