Congratulations to Xyler for winning the St. Mary poster contest at the Fiesta!

We will leave from our classroom at 9:15 on Monday for our field trip to Bates Nut Farm. We should return by 2:00.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week!  Here is the calendar of events:

Monday: Wear Red Day!

Tuesday: Drugs are Old School! (wear 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, etc. attire)

Wednesday: Be a Drug Free Rock Star! (wear sunglasses)

Thursday: Follow Your Dreams, Say No to Drugs! (pajama day)

Friday: To be determined.

HOMEWORK: Math pages 47-50 Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Braden again for one more week, due to his absence.

Religion: We learned how God made the animals. We also discussed this Sunday’s Gospel, Matthew 22:15-22.

Reading: This week we read two books about Eagles for the sound of long E. Along with Finklehopper Frog and a book about the American Flag for the letter Ff.

Math: We began Chapter 4 on Monday. This chapter discusses one-to-one items, fewer/most and begins number recognition and writing. MATH HOMEWORK PAGES. 47-50, due October 25

Cooking: We made Fun Fruit for the letter Ff.

Science: We are still learning about dinosaurs with a variety of activities.
