Camp Stevens News

Hi Everyone,

Joe Kiefer, the program director at Camp Stevens, paid us a visit last Tuesday. He talked about things that students should bring and not bring. Then we had a great Q & A session where he was able to answer questions from parents. If you were unable to attend, please do not hesitate to stop by my classroom and ask me anything that you may still be unclear about.

LIST OF THINGS TO BRING

Warm jacket or equivalent

Lip Balm

Changes of socks

Raincoat or poncho

Changes of underwear

Soap, towel, washcloth

Jeans, long pants

Toothbrush, toothpaste

Blouses, T‑shirts

Pillow

Sleeping bag or bedroll

2 pairs of shoes

Canteen/Heavy duty water bottle

(Please no plastic bottles)

Flashlight w/extra batteries

Notebook and pen/pencil (optional)

DO NOT BRING:   Cell phones, hair driers, radios or other electric appliances, electronic games, video cameras, food or candy. This applies to everyone, these items will be given to the teachers for the duration of your child’s stay.

Camp Stevens will take place from February 24 through February 28. The students need to meet me by the lunch benches, in front of the lower grades, by 7:45 A.M. This will ensure that we can pack our belongings onto the bus and be on our way by 8:30 A.M. We will then return on Friday by regular dismissal time, 2:45 P.M. The bus drops us off by church, on the side of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Just look for the big yellow bus.

I will keep you posted of others things you need to know as the day approaches for our departure.

May God bless you always,

Mrs. Martinez
