Hi Parents,

This week our spelling list will include color words and number words from last week. The children should write them one time each. The new words for this week are the seven days of the week and they should practice them two times each tonight (Monday night). There are no sentences for this week and I will have the test on Friday on the days of the week and some of the color and number words for a total of 20 words.

Homework : Monday– write color, number words 1X each and days of the week 2X each.Tuesday- Math HW,  Wednesday– Math HW  Thursday- study words, no sentences for a 20 word test on Friday.

WEDNESDAY–      9:00 – MILE RUN- Parents may come and watch this event and cheer on the children.

Friday- single session day

Recycled Animal reports- The projects are great, families have outdone yourselves! The children LOVE to get up in front of their peers and share their reports and projects and to ask their questions. They hate to leave the podium! They keep saying “Oh, and one more thing….”  Some even make up facts to talk about since they really like the experience! I really  LOVE teaching first grade!
