A look at next week…
Religion: In Chapter 24, the students learned about holiness, prayer, sacraments, and the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. In this chapter, they will reflect on what it means to be an active member of a parish community and, in a more universal sense, a member of the worldwide Catholic Church.
Language Arts: Wonder by RJ Palacio
Each student will need a copy of this book. You can purchase it from Amazon by clicking here or any book seller of your choice. There are also copies at the library. Students will need the book with him/her every day beginning April 29th.
Math Groups A and B: Module 5 Fraction Equivalence, Ordering, and Operations
Topic F: Addition and Subtraction of Fractions by Decomposition
Students will:
- Estimate sums and differences using benchmark numbers.
- Add a mixed number and a fraction.
Math Group C: Module 5 Fraction Equivalence, Ordering, and Operations
Topic G: Repeated Addition of Fractions as Multiplication
Students will:
- Represent the multiplication of n times a/b as (n × a)/b using the associative property and visual models.
- Represent the multiplication of n times a/b as (n × a)/b using the associative property and visual models.
- Find the product of a whole number and a mixed number using the distributive property.

Review
Rock Patterns
Students will:
- Identify evidence from patterns in rock formations and fossils in rock layers to support an explanation for changes in a landscape over time.
