Math 5: Mid Module Quiz: Tuesday, October 16. This quiz will include adding, subtracting, and multiplying decimals.
Aleks reminder: Students should be working on their individualized ALEKS learning paths for 15 minutes a night.
If your student has not yet mastered the multiplication facts, daily work on Quicktables in ALEKS is necessary. Success in math is hindered without easy recall of these facts.
Math 6: We continue to work on ratio relationships and represent them in multiple ways. The work we are doing is crucial to future success in Algebra. This week we will use ratio tables to create ordered pairs and plot them on a coordinate plane.
At home, students should be working on math for 30 minutes nightly. If they have completed the day’s lesson, the remainder of the time should be spent on their ALEKS personalized learning path. Middle School Religion:
The students have been making mini books on the mysteries of the Rosary. Last week they completed their first mini book on the Sorrowful Mysteries and they are fabulous! They also made Pro-Life posters for the walk on Sunday, October 21. Students do not have to participate in the walk to enter the poster contest, but all posters are due on October 18.
6th grade will lead the school rosary on Thursday, October 18.
Mark your calendars for St. Timothy/St. Mary Pro-Life Walk Sunday, October 21, 2018, at St. Timothy Catholic Church from 12-2. Students will receive service hours for participating and will have a lot of fun walking along Bear Valley Parkway supporting life!
