We had a very eventful final week in first grade. On Monday, our very own Dexter became a Big Brother to beautiful Sydney Cecelia- we are all smitten with her! On Tuesday, we listened to the 4th graders give their species adaptation presentations where we heard some silly bird calls. On Wednesday, we attended the Kindergarten dress rehearsal of Peter Rabbit – an excellent showing! Thursday was our end-of-the-year class celebration complete with snacks and a Despicable Me 3 viewing. Your little one purchased their movie ticket with plastic coins they earned this week as part of our economics study. Friday was our final school Mass for the year; the best way to close our time together. Report cards came home Friday, also.
I can’t believe the last day of school has come and gone! It has been an absolute joy teaching your now 2nd grader! I have shared many laughs and am taking countless memories of them with me. St. Mary School will ALWAYS have a very special place in my heart, as will each of your children. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of spending each day with them and for your support and help with all we did.
Students received their Summer Packets and Supply Lists for next year at the beginning of the week. Summer Packets are to be completed and turned in on the first day of school. This will be the first grade your child receives for 2nd grade.
I wish you all a fun, safe, and relaxing summer. God Bless.
