Kinder Newsletter for June 1

Please return all Book Bags by Monday.

Our Kindergarten last day of school play/celebration will be on Thursday, beginning at 10:00 am in the new parish hall, with breakfast to follow. Siblings may attend if their teacher excuses them from class.

Your child needs wear their mass uniform on Thursday. We will not be having a cap and gown ceremony.

“Fly Up” will take place on Monday. This is where the kindergarteners will visit the 1st grade classroom.

6/7 Peter Rabbit Play 10 am

HOMEWORK: A summer packet will be sent home with your child. Please return it to the first grade teacher for homework credit at the beginning of the school year.

READING: Keep practicing with your child each night. I am so proud of the progress the children have made this year. Congratulations to Michael Mezta and Giuliana Goodwin for completing all 15 lists!

Religion We continue to work on the journal I created for the students to learn our St. Mary Student Learning Expectations (SLE).

Reading This week we read Animals in the Ocean, Manatees, and Rainbow Fish.

 Math We completed Chapter 10 about calendars and time. We also completed Garfield Math.

Congratulations to Ellie Klem and Giuliana Goodwin, they made it to Garfield Math Level 55 and 54 respectively!

Science We learned about sea life, which included a variety of sharks, manatees and other animals.
