Kinder Newsletter for 3/23

The Kindergarten class does NOT have a graduation ceremony. Instead we put on a Peter Rabbit Play and enjoy a breakfast together afterwards. This will be held on Thursday, June 7th, at 10:00 am. Kindergarten students will be released to you after the play. June 7th is Kindergarten’s last day of school.

HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE:

MONDAY – WEDNESDAY: Regular Schedule

THURSDAY:

9:30am Washing of the Feet

10am Living Stations

12-noon dismissal – No pm care

FRIDAY: NO SCHOOL

RETURN to SCHOOL: Monday, April 9

HOMEWORK: Please practice the reading/sight word list your child has been given. Please review previous lists on a continuous basis, so your student can read the words and not just memorize them to pass the test.

We will begin our class lending library upon our return from Easter break

Math: Workbook pages: 197-200

Please have your child read to you each night for at least 10 minutes.

SUPERSTAR No Super Star next week due to the short week. Gianna will be superstar when we return from Easter break.

 Religion We are discussing the Lenten season. We joined our school families for Stations of the Cross. Next week we will be talking about Holy Week and Easter. We discussed Palm Sunday, which is this Sunday.

 Reading This week we read Farm Animals, A Day on the Farm, The Big Red Barn and Rumble in the Jungle. 

Math We completed Chapter 12 and reviewing numbers to 100. We will begin Chapter 6 next week.

Science/Social Studies

We are finishing our unit on animals. We will begin our unit on plant life, and metamorphosis in April.
