HOMEWORK: Please practice reading sight word lists, and long and short vowel words; students are having a difficult time with this. Make sure they are using their fingers to help them read (it really does help).
MATH: Math worksheets. Have your child practice recognizing and writing numbers 1-100. You can also ask them “what number comes before/after and in between”.
Please have your child read to you or read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.
SUPERSTAR: Ella – bring your poster and sharing each day!
Religion We are learning about the Lenten season. We joined our school families for Stations of the Cross in the Church. And we discussed Sundays’ Gospel.
Reading This week we finished reading Dr. DeSoto. We also read I Can Be …, and When I Grow Up. For Dr. Seuss’s birthday, we read One Fish, Two Fish, and completed a few projects related to this book.
Math We are working on Chapter 3, and we continue with Garfield Math. Students are doing really well and are enjoying the program.
Science/Social Studies We have completed our unit on community helpers and we will begin learning about animals on Monday.
Enjoy your weekend!
God Bless,
Mrs. Taylor
