Kinder Weekly Newsletter for 1/26/2108

Space Day was a culminating activity to end our unit on the Solar System. The kids had a great time doing all the different activities. Thank you to all the parent volunteers!

Please join us this Sunday at the 5:30 pm Mass. It will be led by our students to begin Catholic Schools Week.

I hope to see everyone at the Open House this Tuesday from 5-7 pm. Come see all of our out-of-this-world space projects.

HOMEWORK: Work on your 100-Day poster that is due Friday, February 2nd.

Practice sight words and word lists.

Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Oscar- bring your photo book and sharing each day!

Religion We discussed how Jesus is always with us and that we can pray any time and anywhere. We also discussed Sundays’ Gospel.

Reading This week we read Sun Facts, Moon Facts, Tops and Bottoms, and Tessa’s Treasures

Math We finished chapter 7 and began chapter 8, subtracting numbers, along with Garfield Math.

Science/Social Studies

We finished up our unit on the Solar System. For the month of February we will discuss community helpers and the Presidents.
