Please join our school community friends for a fun filled evening, February 10th. Purchase your Gala tickets in support of St. Mary School today!

Please send in your donations in support of our Kindergarten tablescape for the Gala. Our theme is “A Taste of Italy”. Suggested donations: cash, gifts cards (Filippe’s, Joe’s Italian, Vinz, etc.), Italian wine, and Gourmet pasta/sauces.

Space Day will take place Friday, January 26th. Please let me know if you would be interested in working with the students at a center 9:30-11:00. (Sorry, no siblings).

Please join us on Sunday, January 28th at 5:30 pm for our Student led Mass and the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. Also join us Tuesday, January 30th for St. Mary School Open House at 5:00 pm.

Day 100 is on February 2nd. We will have many activities that day including a Day 100 project that your child will complete at home. Collect 100 items of one thing and sort them into 10 items of 10. Also, please have friends and family members send us post cards. We are trying to collect 100 by Day 100!

HOMEWORK:

  • Math workbook: Pgs. 89-90
  • Practice sight words and reading lists.
  • Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes. Please point to each word as you read them. Have your child pick out the sight words and long vowel/silent e words.

SUPERSTAR: Michael – bring your photo album and sharing each day!

Religion We discussed Jesus’ life as a young boy.

Reading This week we read Stellaluna and The Good Samaritan for the letter s.

Math We have been working on adding numbers and took a math assessment test for chapter 7. We also began Garfield math.

MATH HOMEWORK: Pgs. 89-90

Science/Social Studies We began our unit on the planets and the solar system.
