Kinder Newsletter for 8/25/2017

WELCOME BACK!

We had a great first week. The children are getting use to our classroom routines and becoming more familiar with the class expectations.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT is this Tuesday beginning at 5:00 pm

Volunteering in the classroom, Super Stars and sharing will begin the first week of October.

If you have any questions, please contact me via email at

A FEW REMINDERS:

We have assembly at 8:00 am each morning (except Wednesday). Your child will be signed in as tardy if they are not in line with us at the assembly. Mass days we start heading over to church at 7:50.

CAR POOL LINE: Children must enter the car from behind the passenger seat and be able to buckle themselves into their own car seat/booster seat. You may not get out of your car at any time. This keeps the line moving. If your child is not able to buckle themselves in, please park on 13th Avenue and walk in to get them.

Walking in: The gates between the school and church remain locked except on Wednesdays for Mass. Please enter the school through the office.

Please remove any nail polish left over from summer.

Religion

We are learning how to make the Sign of the Cross, saying The Our Father, and a good-bye prayer/song Jesus Tender Shepherd.

Reading

This week we read First Day Jitters, Little Monster Goes to School and We Can Learn Everything.

Math

The math homework book will be given out at back to school night. Please look on this newsletter and online for the math pages assigned for the week. Turn them in each Friday.

Science

This month we will be focusing on God’s gift of our Five Senses – touch, taste, hearing, smelling and seeing.

God Bless,

Mrs. Taylor
