Kinder Newsletter for June 2, 2017

Please return all Book Bags by Monday June 5th.

Our Kindergarten last day of school play/celebration will be on Thursday, June 8th beginning at 10:00 am in the new parish hall, with breakfast to follow. Siblings may attend if their teacher excuses them from class.

Please check with Enil Bliesath for items requested to bring in for breakfast. Thank you in advance for your help!

Your child needs wear their mass uniform the last day of school. We will not be having a cap and gown ceremony.

“Fly Up” will take place on Monday, June 5th. This is where the kindergarteners will visit the 1st grade classroom.

HOMEWORK: A summer packet will be sent home with your child on the last day of school. Please return it to the first grade teacher for homework credit at the beginning of the school year.

READING: Keep practicing with your child each night. I am so proud of the

progress the children have made this year.

Religion We continue to work on the journal I created for the students to learn our St. Mary Student Learning Expectations (SLEs).

Reading This week we read about Manatees, Dolphins and Whales.

Math We completed our unit on time to the hour, tally marks and completed Garfield Math.

Congratulations to Marko Angeles he made it to Garfield Math Level 44 !

Science/Social Studies

We learned about sea life that included a variety of sharks and whales.
