Kinder Newsletter for April 7, 2017

Please keep your child home if they are not feeling well. I am sanitizing daily with baby wipes, hand sanitizer and Lysol, but a variety of illnesses are still running through our classroom.

Information will be coming out soon on how to volunteer for our Bake Sale on Wednesday, May 17th. If you already know you can help, please contact Enil Bliesath and let her know how you would like to help out. We will need both helpers day of and donated food items.

We started practicing for our Peter Rabbit play that will be on June 8th at 10:00 am. Kindergarten students will be released to you after the play. No school for kindergarten on Friday, June 9th.

HOMEWORK: Please practice the reading/sight word list your child has been given.

Please return our Lending Library books each Friday.

Math Review: complete packet handout

Please have your child read to you each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Julia – Bring in your poster and sharing each day!

Religion We are continuing to talk about Lent and Stations of the Cross. We also discussed this Sunday’s Gospel – Palm Sunday.

Reading This week we read Up, Down and Around, Seed to Sunflower, Little Brown Seed, and Roots.

Math We completed Chapter 9 with our final assessment. We will be reviewing until after Spring Break.

Cooking No cooking this week.

Science/Social Studies

We are learning about the life cycle of plants and how fruits and vegetables grow.
