Your student’s Report Card was sent home today in their folder. Please sign and return it to me on Monday. Please let me know if you would like to schedule a conference.

February 8th is Day 100! I have a lot of special activities planned. Please have your child bring in their 100-item poster that day.

Congratulations to the Figueroa Family, Catalina welcomed a baby brother – Nicolas!

We welcomed a new student this week – Julia DiLorenzo, the students are very excited to have a new friend!

HOMEWORK: Math: Workbook pages 92-96

Sound bags – we are almost done with the alphabet. We have split the sound bags among the student for the letters V, W, Y and Z. (no bags for U or X)

Practice sight words and reading lists.

Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Sebastian- bring your photo album and sharing each day!

Religion We discussed how we are all members of God’s family. We also discussed Sundays’ Gospel.

Reading This week we read Sun Facts for the letter S. Tessa’s Treasure, and Tops and Bottoms for the letter T, and Ground Hog for Ground Hog Day.

Math We started Chapter 8 on subtracting numbers, along with Garfield Math.

Cooking We had Tortillas for the letter Tt.

Science/Social Studies

We began our unit on Community Helpers. If you would like to speak about your job to the class please let me know.
