Kinder Newsletter for December 9, 2016

Please continue to bring in gently used toys for the children in Tecate, Mexico. We will be collecting toys until Dec. 14.

NO AFTERNOON VOLUNTEERS will be needed next week due to our Pageant practice.

Please join us in the church on Monday at 9:15 am for the Our Lady of Guadalupe presentation by the 6th and 7th graders.

Thursday is our Polar Express Christmas Party. Your child may wear pajamas (no night gowns) to school that day, and bring 1 small stuffed animal.

The Christmas Pageant is next Friday at 10:00 am with student release immediately after the show. School resumes Tuesday, January 3rd.


Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: Madelyn – bring your photo album and sharing each day


We are talking about Advent and how we prepare for the coming of Jesus. We completed several projects for St. Nicholas Day and a coloring page for the Immaculate Conception.


This week we read Leonardo the Terrible Monster for the letter Ll, along with several stories for the letter Mm; The Mitten, Moosekitos and If you Give a Moose a Muffin.


We completed Ladybug Math and M&M Math in preparation for our self-paced math program that we will begin after Christmas


We made muffins for the letter Mm.

Science/Social Studies

We are creating several projects for Advent, the Nativity and Christmas.
