Kinder Newsletter for October 7, 2016

This week we met with our school families for Rosary. Fr. Scott has asked that all families pray the rosary together nightly. If your child has a rosary, please do not send it to school. It is often a distraction and is swung around often hitting another child. For now we will just practice learning the prayers. Thank you for your cooperation.

HOMEWORK:

Math pages: 47-48 and 153-154, due October 14.

Please read with your child each night.

SUPERSTAR: Brett (bring your photo album and something for sharing each day)

Religion

We learned how God made the land and that we need to take care of its resources. We also discussed this Sunday’s Gospel.

Reading

This week we read Duck at the Door, Dinorella and Dandelion for the letter Dd.

Practicing letter formation that is sent out to the whole class as homework will be logged onto Gradelink under writing, so please return these pages to me. I have also begun to log into Gradelink complete/incomplete class work that relates to the book of the day. If your child completed the work, they will receive 10 out of 10. If very little to nothing has been completed, they will receive a 0 for the day. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact me.

Math

Chapter 1 unit test and assessment has been returned to you and the grades have been recorded in Gradelink. Math homework pages are also recorded in Gradelink. We began Chapter 4 on writing numbers this Monday.

MATH HOMEWORK PAGES 47-48 & 153-154, due October 14.

Cooking  None this week due to our ½ days.
