Announcements: This month in class we are reading Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. This novel “gives readers an emotionally charged, uplifting novel that will speak to anyone who’s ever thought there was something wrong with them because they didn’t fit in.” Our class has loved having a chapter or two read to them each day. They hang on every word, feel every emotion, and beg for more. Wednesday evening I commented on the author’s tweet via twitter and received a reply! Here is a screen shot of her response:
The students were beyond thrilled that the author of our book sent them a message! For anyone who has read this novel, we are all “fantisticos!”
