Kinder Newsletter for 3/18/16

Please send in a plastic zip-lock lunch or snack baggie labeled with your child’s name on it with 5 pennies, 4 nickels, 4 dimes and 2 quarters in it. We will be using it to count money for our math chapter. Please send it in by March 24th. When we are done using it we will spend the money at the next bake sale!

HOMEWORK: Please practice the reading/sight word list your child has been given. Please review previous lists on a continuous basis, so your student can read the words and not just memorize them to pass the test. We have 2 students so far that have passed all 15 lists!

Math: Money math packet.

Please have your child read to you each night for at least 20 minutes.

SUPERSTAR: No Super Star next week due to the short week. Noah will be superstar when we return from Easter break.

Religion We discussed St. Patrick and we joined our school families for Stations of the Cross in the Church. We also discussed Palm Sunday.

Reading This week we read A House is a House for Me, That’s What Leprechaun’s Do, and The Story of St. Patrick.

Math We completed a clover math puzzle and a counting Shamrocks books. We will take a Chapter 9 assessment next week.

Cooking We made Pigs in a Blanket.

Science/Social Studies We discussed the boy, girl and baby names of animals, such as Stallion, Mare and Foal and Bull, Cow, Calf etc.

Enjoy your weekend!
