Weekly Update

I hope you had a wonderful Easter and a relaxing break. I will see you when we return on Monday, April 11th!

Looking Ahead:

The quarter ends this Thursday. As a result, we will be stepping up the workload to prepare the children for fourth grade. The children are ready for this challenge. I have been preparing them all year. They are becoming more independent in their studies each day and have done an excellent job in learning how to take responsibility for their own learning.

What we will be covering this week:

  • Religion: how we can continue the work of Jesus
  • Math: perimeter and area
  • Reading: text and graphic features, domain-specific vocabulary, and asking questions
  • Language Arts: to-be and helping verbs
  • Spelling/Phonics: words with /k/ and /kw/ sounds
  • Social Studies: local, state, and national governments review
  • Science: physical changes in matter

Upcoming Tests:

  • Religion Chapter 22 Test on Friday
  • Spelling #4.18 Test on Friday
  • Journeys Reading/Language Arts Test #4.18 on Friday
