WE BEGAN READING OUR FIRST BOOK! The children are doing so well sounding out long vowel words. I am so proud of them.

HOMEWORK: Tt Sound Bag

Math workbook: Pgs. 93-96

Practice sight word reading lists and other long vowel word lists that have been sent home.

Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

We discussed Jesus’ life as a young boy and this Sunday’s Gospel

This week we read Rainbow Crow, Stellaluna and The Good Samaritan for the letters Rr and Ss.


We began Chapter 8, subtracting numbers. We will begin our self- paced math program on Tuesday.



We made S’mores for the letter Ss.

Science/Social Studies

We began our unit on the planets and the solar system. Space Day will take place at school on January 29th.

We learned about Martin Luther King Jr.

We also created many projects about snowmen.
