Here is a look at our upcoming week:
Religion: Unit 2 Review (Chapters 8-12)
- understanding the story of Pentecost and the sign of the laying on of hands as the origin of the Sacrament of Confirmation
- becoming aware of the rite, or celebration, of the Sacrament of Confirmation
- recognizing that in the Sacrament of the Eucharist Jesus is truly present under the appearances of bread and wine
- appreciating that through the celebration of the Eucharist, we are strengthened to answer our call to discipleship
- exploring the importance of prayer
4th Grade Language Arts: Unit 2 Benchmark Testing
- Target Vocabulary: whirling, rapidly, condense, source, rotating, rage, experience, ancient, predict, registered
- Vocabulary Strategy: Suffixes -ful, -less, -ness, -ment
- Comprehension Skill: Text and graphic features—examining how words and pictures help us understand ideas
Comprehension Strategy: Infer/ predict—using text clues to predict what is coming in the text or what hasn’t been directly stated
