Please continue to bring in gently used toys for the children in Tijuana, Mexico. We will be collecting toys until Dec. 17.

Tuesday is a Holy Day of Obligation, The Immaculate Conception, please have your child in dress uniform at the 8:00 am Mass. It is mandatory that all students attend; your child will be marked tardy if not in attendance.   Release time is 3:15 pm.

December 12 is the Escondido Christmas Parade. You and your child can walk with the St. Mary’s float. If you child wears their school uniform they will receive free dress on the Monday 14th.

HOMEWORK: Math workbook pages 67-70.

Please read with your child each night for at least 20 minutes.

Religion

We are learning about Advent, and that it is a time that we prepare for the birth of Jesus. We also completed several projects for St. Nicholas Day (Dec. 6).

Reading

This week we read Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, and Leonardo for the letter Ll and Moosekitos and If you Give a Moose a Muffin for the letter Mm

Math

We took our Chapter 5 Test and Assessments. We also completed our first addition worksheet (Ladybug Math). We will begin our self-paced math program after Christmas

MATH HOMEWORK: Math workbook pages 67-70.

Cooking

We ate muffins for the letter Mm.

Science/Social Studies

We learned about the four seasons and are creating several projects for Advent, the Nativity and Christmas.
